Tralala Hotel Montreux

It was a beautiful old hotel, and the furniture and bathroom were all updated and working well. Even though we were on a lower floor, our room still had views and light. The full moon shone in our window, the room stayed warm, and the shower was delicious. The staff were really nice when our credit card didn’t work for the city tax, and they gave us coffee and tea in morning even though we had opted out of their breakfast. The check out time was 12! There were 2-3 great restaurants in the blocks surrounding the hotel, which was good because we were halfway up the hill above town.

The hotel is located in the old town of Montreux uphill, it’s a trendy hotel. There is a really good atmosphere. It’s quite near the train station. The staff was just very friendly and helpful. I would certainly come back.

Hotel Tralala met our expectations just as advertised. It looks exactly like the photos and offers great value for money. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, which made it easy for us to get around and enjoy the surroundings. I would especially like to highlight João, a member of the hotel staff, for his outstanding service. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his last name, but he was the one in charge of the front desk on the day of our check-in. He welcomed us warmly, was always polite and helpful, and truly made our stay more enjoyable and comfortable. His attention to detail and kindness stood out. I definitely recommend Hotel Tralala, and I’d like to give a special thanks to João for making our experience even better!

We loved the location, and how easy it was to get around. There’s a bus stop directly opposite the hotel’s entrance which easily gets to and from the train station. Very nearby, there’s a train stop which easily gets to Montreux station in a few minutes, while the other direction goes up to Rochers de Naye for magnificent views. The breakfast was lovely too, and the staff, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, although small, it was nice, with a balcony overlooking the street in front. It’s also walkable all the way to Freddie Mercury statue but the streets were quite steep, but was ok for us.

It was so conveniently located in the old town and the 206 bus which you can’t eke directly out from the railway station drops you outside the door. Stefan was so helpful and for a poor French speaker like myself he spoke impeccable English and was a brilliant host. We spent a lot of time in markets for Xmas so didn’t eat at Hotel but the layout and atmosphere looked relaxing. The room was clean and well set out and I loved the wide opening window It’s a small room but the layout is clever use of space The heavy duty doors and stone walls mean it’s a quiet room and blocks out other people’s noise I will be going back for sure
